No clank! I have a putter that has a jumbo grip and the technology accomodates. Just an all around great bag.
the bag is great, i only have a few minor problems and observations. my main one is that i play -1″ clubs so it is very difficult for me to “lock in” my wedges and 33″ putter into the silencer bottom without having to try to angle my club heads in there like a puzzle. everything else from pw-driver locks in just fine. the pockets are great, keep in mind that the cart hoops on the sides of the top only allow for the inner part of the cart strap to go through, its virtually impossible to get it through booth loops. the ball bucket on the bottom was annoying because balls kept falling out when i was on my way to the bottom of the downstairs range. i figured out that the top lip of the zipper less ball pocket can be tucked underneath the bag to lock it in place during transport. then simply unlock when your in you’re out on the course. the hard pocket is great, i keep my rang finder there and it has enough space for me to put my glasses in also(with the included divider) and not get it smashed. the cooler pocket is a little small, carries only one 16oz. bottle of water. i did find it strange that the carry handle is on the opposite side of the shoulder strap, this is the first bag i’ve ever seen like this. i am hoping this bag is also durable because i would love to keep using it.
Ogio Men’s Chamber Cart Bag with Silencer Technology
I like this bag. The Silencer Technology really works. You will not find your clubs getting stuck and it is a breeze to use. Unfortunately, the base of the bag is made of hard acrylic plastic and can be easily damaged, cracked or broken. Thus the handling of this bag must be quite gentle. The zipperless ball pocket may be useful but can be improved with a hook lock of some kind. The balls can easily slipped out if the bag is turned upside down. I would be more useful if Ogio can provide another bag cover. The current one that seems to discolour after a couple of months. Love this bag and I can see many more years to come using it. How can I get another Chamber Cart Bag cover. Can I order on line?
Very nice Cart bag, plenty of pockets to have everything you need during a golf round. The only thing missing for me it is an external
putter holder for over sizes grip but.
Works exactly as advertised! All the pockets are labeled, so you actually know where to put your items. Love it!
bag performs according to its design
Owned it for about a month now. Play three times a week(yea, retired). Bought it for the prime design feature of placing your clubs in the bag so they will not rattle against each other. I walk with a push cart and do not use covers for my clubs so the silence is essential. Owned several Bag Boy units that had a similar design goal. They worked for a while until the slot gripping the shaft wore loose. Called them about a fix(not warranty related) and they said it couldn’t happen. Bag is of a proper weight for its size, so not too heavy. Amazon beat the local sporting goods franchise dealer by $100 which is hilarious because that dealer only sells it online. Pockets are more that adequate. I don’t expect to have a cooler in my golf bag, how silly.
Many nice and unique features. The cooler compartment could be a bit bigger to hold more drink. Overall, very nice design.
Very good bag, next version hopefully improved.
I do like this cart bag. But I am going to point out what I think is a shortcoming. The bottom is made of clear plastic. There is a footing around the edges of the bag bottom so that this plastic will not touch ground when the bag is set on a flat surface. However, if you hoist the bag out of your trunk and plop it down on the pavement where stones often reside (1/4 inch plus diameter) you risk placing the full force of the drop and bag weight on a stone and cracking the plastic. This has not happened to me yet but seems like an inevitable occurrance.
Also I am apprehensive about the stability of the bag when set on a near flat surface when it is a bit windy or on a slight incline.
I rate it 4.5
Extremely well made. Love the no-zip ball pouch. The club chambers work as advertised…they definitely keep the clubs from hitting each other on the cart and transporting in the car.
great bag for pull cart or riding
Looks great and has lots of storage compartments. quality build. Keeps clubs from rattling around. I am very satisfied with the purchase.
